Preterist Radio...Where We Are Going...

E-mail Print PDF

Preterist Radio @ AD70.NET has been broadcasting 24/7 for close to 3 months now. At this time we are producing at least 8 podcasts per week and that number will be going up very soon. We've produced close to 80 podcasts to date and the number of people downloading these podcasts is growing significantly every week.

The percentage of listeners at any given time of the day has increased 500 to 700 percent in the last two months. I attribute this mostly to the station getting listed in the radio section of iTunes. Which has now changed the nature of the station from just being a preterist audience to one that is reaching people that have never heard of preterism. The station is listed as "AD70.NET...Christian Radio From a Slightly Different Point of View." Which I think is catching a lot of peoples attention. That and we are listed at the top of 170 other religious broadcast streams.

We've been seeing listeners from countries like Germany, Romania, Ukraine, Greece, Japan, Taiwan, Spain, Many countries in Africa, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Bulgaria, Mexico and Brazil etc. Of course the majority of our listeners are here in America and Canada.

We're being contacted regularly from more people wanting to participate in broadcasting. However sometimes doctrinal issues come up that I'm not comfortable hitching my cart to.

If things continue to grow at the rate that they have been over the last two months, within a year I'm going to have to move the station from my home studio to a commercial one and employ others to help me with the load. At this point my personal time commitment is approximately 40 hours per week. Which involves live broadcasts, audio/podcast production, programming, website and podcast updates, hardware/software maintenance along with countless hours on the phone and answering emails.

We're also in the process of adding a prayer ministry and are looking for those of you that are prayer warriors. Please contact me if you are interested in being involved. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

We've recently added an online introductory Greek course that is currently being broadcast live on Wednesday nights, taught by Sam Frost and Alan Bondar. This is just the first class of many that we will eventually be offering in a live interactive online Preterist University of sorts. Additional courses in the line up will be "Ethics in a Post AD70 World" and "Philosophy in a Post AD70 World," taught by Ed Hassertt. Co-Author of "House Divided."

I'm also about to bring on 3 more guests to begin live broadcasting each week that will be dealing more with practical issues and the "What Now," aspect of what it means to live in a Post AD70 world. This will add approximately 10 work hours per week to my current workload.

As well, this summer we will be hosting a number of the preterist conferences live for those of you that can't afford to travel to the respective locations where they are being held. I'm also working on a design for small cards that listeners will be able to hand out to friends, family, strangers along with posting on bulletin boards.

And so...We are at a turning point.

I personally believe with my whole heart that where God guides He provides. And one of my main goals is to not burden those doing the work of ministry/teaching by having to charge them for airtime. Nor do I want to break up the quality of programming by having to advertise to cover the costs. Which would also take time and attention away from doing the actual work of this ministry by having to seek out advertisers.

The initial cost of starting this project was approximately $3500 and the actual costs have been about $350 a month. Of course as you all know the hardware will only last so long. As we continue to grow, the costs associated with this ministry will continue to increase as well.

We are seeing lives changed by making this place of fellowship available to those that have been outside of fellowship because of their beliefs. Incredible things are happening and I can only begin to imagine how far this will grow if we all do our part.

I want to personally thank each and every one of you that have so generously been supporting this ministry financially to this point through individual and recurring donations and I would also like to
encourage those that haven't yet to seriously consider doing the same.

Prayerfully consider how you can support this outreach by becoming a financial partner in this ministry as we continue to take this message
of fulfillment to the uttermost parts of the Earth.

Preterism...2000 Years in the Making.

E-mail Print PDF

by Michael Loomis

Preterism...A strange and almost scary sounding word for someone that has never heard it before. What is preterism? "Preterism is a variant of Christian eschatology which holds that some or all of the biblical prophecies concerning the Last Days or End Times as referring to events which already happened in the first century after Christ's birth...The term preterism comes from the Latin praeter, meaning "past". Adherents of Preterism are known as Preterists." Source: "Preterism" at www.en.wikipedia.com

Example...A preterist would understand the events described in the book of Revelation to be an oracle against Jerusalem that was delivered to the apostle John through an apocalyptic vision while he was in exile on the island of Patmos during the reign of Caeser Nero, shortly before the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. For a detailed and historical account of this event consider reading Flavius Josephus' "Wars of the Jews." Similar oracles can also be found throughout the Hebrew Bibles prophets relating to judgments of God where He uses one nations armies as His divine instrument of wrath upon another nation.

The Apocalyptic Vision Reproductions by James Robert Kessler

"Have you ever thought about what preterist aesthetics might look like in the future of God’s kingdom? You don’t have to wonder any longer. The future of preterist culture is here. Now you can purchase art for your home or office created distinctly from the preterist view of biblical prophecy.  This is practical artwork that honors the Scripture in its original time setting and relevance."

When All Things that are Written Must Be Fulfilled

E-mail Print PDF

Do you realize Jesus said when all prophecy would be fulfilled? Read Luke 21:22.

Here is the context. Jesus was predicting the fall of Jerusalem, see verses 5-7. In describing that event he said "all things that are written must be fulfilled." Here are some interesting facts.

The premillennialist says the only part of the Olivet Discourse, (that is Matthew 24 and the parallels, Mark 13, Luke 21), that applies to the destruction of Jerusalem is Luke 21:20-24. They insist the rest speaks of our time, the Great Tribulation, Israel's restoration, etc. There is a problem here.
